I am a self-taught artist, gaining my knowledge from YouTube videos, reading art books and of course making my own art. I have been honing my craft since 2013 when I learned how to quilt. After making lap quilts for my family and friends I became very interested in Art Quilts. Art quilts are more about finding your own style and not making perfect seams, this was a match for my personality!

I work with fabric, thread, handmade painted papers, acrylic paint and found ephemera.

My favorite subjects are flowers, vases, trees and birds. I have also made some pet portrait quilts which are fun but time consuming with the hours of thread painting embroidery. Making art makes me happy and keeps my mind engaged.

I am originally from Anchorage, Alaska but have lived in the beautiful state of Oregon for many years. I am a nature and animal lover, having both dogs and cats over the years and enjoy traveling with my husband to our majestic National Parks.
